Can I use a SyncVault track in more than one video?
Every time you download a track you will receive a unique license key for that track to be added into your video. This is required to ensure your video remains claim free. If you wish to use the same track in another video, you must download the track again from the site, it’s free, at which point a new license key will be automatically emailed to you for you to add into your next video.
PLEASE NOTE: Failure to apply a unique license key for every track in every video may affect your ability to claim and could result in a take down.
What is Editorial content?
Editorial content is not created to attempt to sell something.
What is Sponsored and Branded content?
Any content that is funded and / or supported by a brand or advertiser.
What is Advertising content?
Advertisements for commercial products or services. (Normally created by an advertising agency).
What is a SyncVault Music Campaign?
Using a track that is part of a campaign gives you a chance to earn money by adding this music to your next video. The sooner you sync an available track to your video and start getting views, the greater your opportunity of earning the available earnings from that track.
PLEASE NOTE: Only channels that get more than 1,000 views and over per video can earn from a paid campaign track and earning can only be accrued by verified channels who reach 1,000 views and more.
If you don't have more than 1,000 views per video you can still use our free music tracks and you don't have to pay any subscription fees.
YouTube Channel Verification - What is channel verification and how can I be verified?
All YouTube channels can use our FREE music tracks and all the tracks are 100% monetizable and claim-free. To earn, your channel must be verified by SyncVault. To get your channel verified simply - go to YOUR PROFILE - select MY ACCOUNT - select CHANNEL MANAGEMENT - click the yellow VERIFICATION BUTTON (situated below your channel url.) and follow the brief instructions. If the button is not there, you have to first add your channel url and save it.
VERIFICATION TIPS: To get your channel approved you need to be a professional creator that is gaining more than 1,000 views per month on each of your videos. Your content should be clear, with great visuals, audio quality and you use music in the best and most complimentary way for your content.
Channel Verification - Criteria for applying to earn on SyncVault
SyncVault takes into account the following when approving channels:
What happens if my video fails to meet YouTube’s Community Guidelines and / or Content Policy, or is issued with a takedown notice by YouTube?
Failure to adhere to any YouTube Content Guidelines and / or policies, or if your content is taken down for any reason by YouTube, you will not qualify to earn or be able to cash-in any earnings either owed, due / past or present.
How long can I run a campaign for?
Campaigns run for a minimum 90 days. You can run multiple campaigns and always upload new tracks to us when they are ready to promote.
Can I extend my campaign once live?
Yes – you can extend your campaign on VidCents Music at any time up to 72 hours prior to its ‘Use By Date’.
How do I know how many views I have earned from and how much I have earned?
Go to Profile select from the drop-down - All your views and total earnings per-track to-date will be displayed.
What happens if my campaign budget is taken up before the track’s ‘Use By Date’?
If a track awards all of its campaign budget prior to its ‘Use By Date’, it will remain on the website and still available for content creators to use for free until the end of its ‘Use By Date’ but no further budget will be used or allocated to creators. So you wont ever over spend, but you will always have the option to top-up should you want to! You are in control.
Where can I find the required descriptive text to be inputted in my video description?
All descriptive text is shown to you and can be copied before you download a track and is also emailed to you after you have downloaded. To qualify to earn you must apply all requested descriptive text to your channel description.
What happens if all my campaign’s budget is taken up during the 2 month layover period?
The moment your campaign views are all used up during the layover period, no further earnings can be awarded to creators but if their videos remain live on those channels featuring your music you will continue to receive views organically through YouTube as normal
How often are my total earnings updated?
Your earnings are updated every 24 hours.
Can I use a track that is part if a promotion campaign in an advertising, sponsored or branded video?
Our tracks are always free to use and can only be used in editorial content AND NOT commercially produced, or third-party sponsored and branded content. Editorial content is content that doesn’t attempt to sell something. General FAQs for more definitions of content type.

What if my track doesn’t achieve the views I paid for in my campaign?
At the end of your campaign, and after the 2 month layover period (see FAQs below), any outstanding v-points not awarded to any videos, are held in your SyncVault account for up to 12 months where they can be transferred to an alternative campaign of your choice.
What happens when a Campaign track runs out of available views?
When all the views on a given track have been awarded, you will no longer be able to earn any further on that track. If the total available views on any given track runs out before you reach the 1000 views threshold you will not be awarded the related views.
How do views turn into earnings?
Every Campaign track displays its earnings CPM rate.
How do I cash-in my earnings?
You can request to cash-in anytime, once you have reached the minimum threshold of $15. Simply go to Profile, from the dropdown menu select My Earnings, once inside chose Payments. Payments are made at the end of every month. Payment requests must be made at least 15 days prior.
Do I need a PayPal account to earn?
Yes. You currently must have a PayPal account to cash-in on your earnings.
How can I start earning?
To earn, first you must get your channel verified by SyncVault's Artists & Labels Forum. To get your channel verified simply - go to YOUR PROFILE - select MY ACCOUNT - select CHANNEL MANAGEMENT - click the yellow VERIFICATION BUTTON (situated below your channel url.) and follow the brief instructions.
To start earning - Go to Find Music Page select a track with available views to earn from and you could start earning. Make sure you follow the conditions.
What happens if I upload a Campaign Music track after its ‘Use By Date’?
If you upload a video to your channel featuring music from one of our paid campaigns after its ‘Use By Date’ then you could be subject to a Content ID claim. You earning stops when the campaign ends.
PLEASE NOTE: To help prevent this we will always notify and remind you of any track you have downloaded before it reaches its ‘Use By Date’.
What is the ‘Use By Date’ on a track?
Every Campaign track is available for a limited time only as displayed next to the download button. The track must be synced to a video and uploaded to its channel before the end of the ‘Use By Date’, in order to qualify for the chance of earning VidCents and to prevent a Content ID claim.
Are all Campaign tracks free to use?
Yes – SyncVault will not charge you for the use of any music usage.
Can views still be earned after a track’s ‘Use By Date’?
Yes, as long as you uploaded the video by the track’s ‘Use By Date’ available views can be earned up to a maximum of 2 months thereafter, or until all its available views have been awarded. Whichever is sooner.
Can I immediately earn after I have uploaded the video?
As long as your channel has been verified to earn you accrue available views from your first view per video. However, a minimum threshold of 1,000 views per video is required before any earned views can be awarded. If the total available views on any given track runs out before you reach the 1000 views threshold you will not be awarded the earnings.
Can I earn if I use the same track more than once?
You can earn in the FIRST video you use a track in, on your channel. You are welcome to use the same track for free in other videos on your channel but you will not earn.
Who sets the quantity of views available to earn from per track?
The Music Labels and / or Artists themselves set the quantity of available views to earn from on every track.
What happens if my video doesn’t reach 1,000 views?
Available views can only be awarded to your VidCents account once you reach your first 1,000 views on each video using a VidCents Music track. If you don’t reach 1,000 views, or the available views run out on that track before you reach 1,000 views, you forfeit the views accrued.
Can you add more than one Campaign track per video?
You can use as many Campaign Music tracks as you like in any video. However, only the first track per video can qualify for earnings.
Can I use a Campaign track in more than one video?

How long can I earn views for on a track?
You can earn views until they have all been awarded, or up to a maximum of 2 months following a tracks’ ‘Use By Date’, whichever is sooner.
What is a FFM link?
FFM is a smart link platform for the music marketing space to help with tracking data. www.feature.fm we have partnered with them to make your data experience more informative and smoother when opting for your own music promotional campaign with Syncvault.
For Creators; when you get sent your FFM link with every track you download. This link must be placed in your video description (above the fold) and in the first three lines of text in order to qualify for earning from a campaign track.
How often are the views updated if you use a campaign track?
As long as your channel has been verified to earn, all available views on tracks are updated every 24 hours.
Can I use a campaign track and earn from a live YouTube stream?
Music that is part of a paid campaign on Syncvault (a campaign track) can be used in any YouTube video or broadcast for free. However, available views only qualify to earn in YouTube videos on-demand and NOT live streams.
Is SyncVault Music really free?
Yes. You will never be charged for subscribing and using tracks from Syncvault. All PayPal payment details you may decide to provide can only be used to credit you with your earnings.

Syncvault Music is NOT available for licensed use on Podcasts.
What happens to my licences if I cancel my subscription?
Nothing. Each time you download a song for final use from the site, it is licensed in perpetuity. This means any song you license and use in projects you create while you’re a SyncVault member remain legally licensed forever. However you are not able to create new projects using SyncVault songs if you are do not have an active subscription.
Do you have a formal legal licence to look at?
Is SyncVault music really free?
Yes. It is completely free for Creators and Artists to join us, with no credit card required and gives creators the opportunity to use brand new music. New releases are updated regularly. All tracks are available for a limited period only so get in early to check out the latest releases.
Artists can upload their music for free but also have the option to do paid promotional campaign should they want too.
What is YouTube Content ID?
What is a Content ID claim?
A Content ID claim is a copyright notification applied by a rights holder in order to protect their copyrighted content on YouTube. It is up to each individual rights holder to decide which policy they want to apply to matched content. If you upload a video to YouTube without a license and content ID key, you may receive a monetization claim or even a request for your content to be removed. Fortunately all SyncVault takes care of the license and provides you with a valid license key to use the music in your video without any risk of a claim.
If I cancel my subscription will SyncVault claim my videos on YouTube?
All videos published during an active subscription will stay cleared from claims forever! However, if you use SyncVault music in videos published after you’ve ended your subscription, SyncVault (or our Music Partners) will monetize them. You can reactivate your subscription at any time to continue using our music claim free.
How can I make sure my video is cleared from claims on YouTube?
To ensure your videos are cleared from claims you need to add your channel details to your account.
What does claim-free mean?
Claim-free means the user doesn't have to pay the copyright owner royalties and can avoid the risk of copyright strikes on social media platforms and Content ID claims on YouTube.
Can I monetize my videos if I use SyncVault music?
Yes. Using tracks from Syncvault does not interfere with your ability to earn from YouTube monetization as normal. It is a supplementary income stream separate from that revenue. Any earnings go into your wallet on the platform for you to withdraw anytime you like.
How do I find my YouTube channel's user ID & channel ID?
First, sign in to YouTube. In the top right, click your profile picture Settings. From the left Menu, select Advanced settings, you'll see your channel's user and channel IDs.

What is the submission process?
Submit your track to our A&R team Once approved, you’ll be invited to set up an account to upload your track. It will then be featured on SyncVault and made available to thousands of content creators worldwide to download and promote your music within their videos! You will have access to your own dashboard to receive transparent reporting and links to your campaign views as you watch it grow and see which creators are using your tracks
Can I promote my tracks for FREE?
Yes. You can join us and do a FREE campaign, where your music will be available to our community of YouTubers to download and use. For more targeted campaigns we have our Discovery and Amplify campaigns, where you can opt for low-cost, effective promo campaigns on YouTube, to be more targeted towards the audiences and territories you want to reach online.
There is no limit to the amount of videos your track can appear in. Result!
What is a track ‘Use By Date’?
A ‘Use By Date’ is the last day of your campaign that your track will be live on the website for use and the final day any content creator can download your track for use.
If a Creators fails to upload in time they wont be able to earn from that campaign after the deadline and could result in a Content ID claim against the use of the music in their video. So best to upload your video with the track as soon as possible.

What are fan-views?
Every video using your track must reach the 1,000 views threshold before a Creator can be awarded any earnings from that campaign track. Any participating video that doesn’t reach 1,000 views is free and any views obtained after the campaign has ended and the budget has been allocated. These views are called fan-views.
What are freerider views?
After all your campaigns budget has been used up, no further earnings can be allocated to creators for that track. However, all the participating videos with your track continue to grow views and at no cost to you. These are called freerider views.
