FAQ
What is YouTube Content ID?
Content ID is a system used by rights holders to manage and identify their copyrighted content on YouTube. Videos uploaded to YouTube are scanned against a database of files that have been submitted by content owners. Copyright owners get to decide what happens when content in a video on YouTube matches a work that they own. When this happens, the video gets a Content ID claim.
What is a Content ID claim?
A Content ID claim is a copyright notification applied by a rights holder in order to protect their copyrighted content on YouTube. It is up to each individual rights holder to decide which policy they want to apply to matched content. If you upload a video to YouTube without a license and content ID key, you may receive a monetization claim or even a request for your content to be removed. Fortunately all SyncVault takes care of the license and provides you with a valid license key to use the music in your video without any risk of a claim.
How does this work?
SoundVault fingerprints your music copyrights and claim any videos that use your music on YouTube. We can then collect advertising revenue on those videos.
How do I join?
Joining is easy. Simply fill out the form on Content ID page. We will send you a contract and then you send us your tracks.
I already have a content ID partner, can I still join?
Yes you can, you will simply need to request from content ID manager to transfer ownership to SyncVault.
How often do I get paid?
You will be paid on a monthly basis and you can check your revenue in your own dashboard.
How often do I get a report?
You will get a monthly report and you can see all your information in your dashboard.
Can I monetize my videos if I use SyncVault music?
Yes. Using tracks from Syncvault does not interfere with your ability to earn from YouTube monetization as normal. It is a supplementary income stream separate from that revenue. Any earnings go into your wallet on the platform for you to withdraw anytime you like.
What does claim-free mean?
Claim-free means the user doesn't have to pay the copyright owner royalties and can avoid the risk of copyright
strikes on social media platforms and Content ID claims on YouTube.
What sort of content is eligible for uploading to Identifyy / YouTube Content ID?
You must be the exclusive copyright holder (or exclusive administrator of YouTube monetization rights) to the music in the files that you upload to Identifyy. Sound recordings submitted should be original, unique, and distinct, and must not contain any open or unlicensed samples, sound effects, sound bites - or purchased beats, royalty-free music, or the like.
